About this church
Sacred Heart Church serves the village of Lumby and the farms and forests of the upper valley, about twenty-five minutes east of Vernon.
It is the only church in the parish family besides St. James with daily Mass: Monday through Saturday at 9:00 AM: and its Saturday evening and Sunday morning Masses anchor the week for the Lumby community. The Lumby choir leads music at the major feasts.
Fr. Henry Nwaimo, parochial vicar for the Vernon-area parishes, is based at Sacred Heart and can be reached through the parish for confessions, anointing, and pastoral visits in the Lumby area.
